Community Development Committees (CDC) in Lagos State have organized a statewide special prayer session for the nation, tagged “Heal our Land”.
The prayer session was organized to intercede for the betterment of our dear nation Nigeria and supplicate on the apparently knotty conditions of the nation.
The Executive Chairman, Hon Olusegun Odunmbaku who was represented by the the Vice Chairman at the prayer session urged and appealed to all the residents not to relent in seeking for God’s guidance and protection
He noted that the safety and protection of the Community is a collective responsibility and should be paramount to all stakeholders.
The CDC Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Engr. Abiona explained that while other secular and mortal efforts are being made to reposition the country, particularly in anticipation of the imminent change of power in 2023 general election, divine intervention is sacrosanct.
During the event, participants were also admonished to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC), and exercise their civil rights and responsibilities during the elections without fear or favour in order to rightly position the country.
Therefore, clergymen, Islamic clerics and traditionalist converged at Ojodu Council Secretariat Hall on Thursday 24th June to carry out the exercise in the company of the Council Executives, CDC/CDA members, Management team and teeming citizens.
