The speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has visited the scene of the Hausa, OPC clash which claimed several lives and destroyed properties worth Millions of naira.
The speaker, who led other members of the house, decries the level of destructions of properties and call for calm.
The speaker also appeal to residents to give peace a chance.
Speaking with the Bishop of Christ Apostolic Church, Fagba, Iju Station, and a woman whose shops were razed, the speaker said, the government will nip in the bud to ensure the people bounce back stronger.
In his words, Hon. Rasheed Makinde speaking through his media and publicity assistance, Mr. Tunde Rufai, Hon. Makinde appreciates the speaker for coming down to his constituency, Ifako-ijaiye to see the level of damages the clashes between Hausas and members of Oodua Peoples’ Congress has caused. While appealing for government intervention in rehabilitating the businesses of those whose shops, buildings, vehicles, tricycles have been vandalized and razed.
On the entourage of the speaker are; the deputy speaker, Hon. Eshinlokun Sani, Hon. Babatunde Okanlawon, Hon. Rotimi Olowo.
Others are, Hon. Rasheed Makinde Ifako Ijaiye II and Hon. Temitope Adewale Ifako Ijaiye I, Hon. HID Tijani chairman Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Usman Akanbi Hamzat Vice Chairman Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government. The legislative heads of both Ifako ijaiye and Ojokoro LCDA Hon. Abiodun Akinola and Hon. Abdoulazziz Osho.
