OONI of Ife Oba Adeyeye Babatude Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja ll, has said Imo State is blessed to have Senator Hope Uzodimma as its governor.
Oba Ogunwusi spoke at the weekend, when he donated two motorised modulator fumigators to the state government to contain the Covid-19, at the Government House, Owerri.
The Ooni, who was represented by Princess Kemi Fadojutimi, expressed confidence that Uzodimma would develop the state to a prosperous level.
He assured that from the much he knows of the governor, “Imo is blessed with a man of honesty who will deliver the state to a prosperous level”.
He thanked the state for giving them the opportunity to come and make the donation, adding that the donation was Ooni’s contribution towards the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Government House Emeka Agbo, who received the donation on behalf of the governor, thanked the monarch for including Imo State in the distribution of the motorised modulator fumigators.
He noted the relationship between the Ooni and Uzodimma, which has lasted for many years, saying he was not surprised that such donation came from the first class monarch.
He promised that the fumigators would be put to proper use, bearing in mind the essence and the importance attached to it, which is the fight against the pandemic that is ravaging the whole world.
Agbo thanked the Ooni of Ife and prayed to God to grant him many more years of good health and wisdom in his reign over his people.
