IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY
Not fewer than nine lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.
Letters of defection of the lawmakers read by the speaker, Collins Chiji, during the plenary listed Peoples Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, and Action Action as defectors former party.
The defectors include; Authur Egwim (Ideato North) from AA to APC; Chyna Iwuanyanwu (Nwangele), PDP; Chidiebere Ogbunikpa (Okigwe), PDP; Obinna Okwara (Nkwerre), AA; and Paul Emeziem (Onuimo) also from PDP to APC, Ekene Nnodimele (Orsu) from APGA to APC, Johnson Duru (Ideato South), AA; Ngozi Obiefule (Isu) AA; and Heclus Okorocha (Ohaji/Egbema) from PDP to APC
Four lawmakers elected on the platform of PDP, another four from AA party and one APGA lawmaker defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC. As they vowed to assist the governor Hope Uzodimma to achieve is developmental agenda.
